The literal definition of "Islam" in Arabic is to abandon or forsake; submission, surrender. Forsaking invalid preconceived notions and lifestyles, in favor of submitting to the way of thinking and living which is established through the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This approach demands sincerity, humility, and sacrifice. This is where learning truly begins.
